The answer is 13/21 part remains in the bag.

When we add 8/21 + 13/21 = 1

Remember all the fraction should be equal to unity

So when we do 13/21× 39 = 24.14 kg

So the part taken from bag = 8/21 ×39 = 14.85

By adding, 24.14 +14.85 ≈ 39 kg

Answer:

The Cost of rice after 2% reduction in the previous price= 0.98 x Original Price.

So number of Kg of rice that can be bought with the reduced price= 49/0.98= 4900/98= 50- Kg. =×=×=×=×=×=×=×=×=×=×=×=×=×=×=×=× Explanation:

Let the cost of 1- Kg rice= Rs. 100

Cost of 49- Kg= Rs.4900

Cost of 1- Kg after the reduction of price by 2% is Rs. 98.

So number of Kg that can be bought with the new reduced price = 4900/98= 50. =÷×÷=÷×=÷×=÷=÷×=÷×==÷×=÷×=÷×==÷

OR

Suppose earlier rice price was rs 10 per kg.

Price of 49 kg of rice is 490 rupees.

The price of rice is reduced by 2%.

The price of rice is rs 9.8 per kg.

Now 450/9.8=50 kg of rice can now be bought for the money.

I Thik It should be as: Now 490/9.8 = 50 kg of rice can now be bought.
