The value of algebraic expression = 8

GIVEN:- 10(4x-8y) by 5(x-2y)

TO FIND:- Value

SOLUTION:-

  • By imply division which means that the given expression is in fraction.

Evaluate the numerator

 \frac{10(4x - 8y)}{5(x - 2y)}  \\  =  \frac{40x - 80y}{5(x - 2y)}

In the numerator, we will take 40 as the common factor

 =  \frac{40(x - 2y)}{5(x - 2y)}  \\

x- 2y is common in both numerator and denominator so it will be reduced to 1

 =  \frac{40}{5}  \\  = 8

Hence, the value of algebraic expression = 8
