Given :

  • Speed of bus = 10m/s
  • Distance covered by bus = 6 km

To find :

  • Time taken by bus

Formula used :

 \sf t =  \dfrac{d}{s}

Where :-

  • d = distance
  • t = time
  • s= speed

   \boxed{\sf1 \: km = 1000 \: m}

Solution :

We have to find out time taken by bus to travel 6 km at a speed of 10m/s.

Now , first we will convert 6 km into metres.

=> 1 km = 1000 m

=> 6 km =6× 1000 m

=> 6 km =6000 m

\sf  \implies t =  \dfrac{6000}{10}

\sf  \implies t =  \dfrac{600}{1}

\sf  \implies t =  600 \: s

Answer :

Time taken by bus to travel 6 km ( 6000m) at a speed of 10m/s = 600 seconds
