LET DISTANCE TRAVELLED BE s km

Since, a= (v- u)/t on solving we get a=20/0.5=40km/h

Hence  From,

v^2= u^2 + 2as

where u = 0 km/h

           v =20 km/h

           t = 1/2 hrs = 0.5 hrs,

400 = 0 + 2x40xs

400= 80xs

Hence, s =5km
