neelamtripathi139: a grassy plot is 15 into 42 cross parts each 5 metre wide are constructed at right angles through the centre of the field such that each part is parallel to one of the side of the rectangle
neelamtripathi139: wrong question
neelamtripathi139: question is
neelamtripathi139: a grassy plot is 50×40m.two cross paths each 5 metre wide are constructed at right angles through the centre of the field, such that each path is parallel to one of the sides of the rectangle. (a) find the total area used as path. (b) find the cost of gravelling them at RS.6 per square metre.
neelamtripathi139: please answer
akankshakamble6: ook let me solve
akankshakamble6: Let 1st path ABCB and second path PQRS.

Area of path ABCD 50×5=259

Area of path PQRS 40×5=200

Area of center square 5×5=25

Area of path=250+200-25
=425

1m=6rs
425m=?

425×6= 2550rs

Therefore total area of path is 425m and cost is rs 2550.
akankshakamble6: hope you got it
akankshakamble6: is it right??
neelamtripathi139: thanks for answering
