when a coin is tossed three times , then the total no. of outcome is 2^{n}.

where n is the no. of times the coin is tossed ...

here total no. of outcomes is 2^{3} = 8 outcomes...

then the sample space will be:

TTT    TTH     THH   HHH

HTT    HHT   HTH    THT

atleast one tail means there can be one or more than one times occurence of tail....

now prbablity = favourable outcome / total outcome

                       = 7/8
