a) his net profit would be 7000(profit for table 10000 loss for chair 3000=150*20)

b) 60chair price is 60*150=900 which is equal to 500*18 therefore the no of table he sold is 18

Answer:

(1) He had a profit of $ 6500 if he sold 1 table . So , automatically if he's selling 20 tables he will have a profit of $ 1,30,000 ( 6500 × 20 = 1,30,000 ) .

He had a loss of $ 150 if he sold 1 chair . So , if he's selling 20 chairs he will have a loss of $ 3,000 ( 150 × 20 = 3,000 ).

(2) If the number of sold chairs are 60 , he must sell 2 tables so that he neither makes a profit nor a loss ( 60 × 150 = 9,000 , so if he sells 2 tables he can make up for the loss ) .
