\large\underline{\sf{Solution-}}

Given that, A hall measures 16 m by 12 m.

It means,

Length of hall = 16 m

Breadth of hall = 12 m

We know, Area of rectangle is given by

\boxed{\rm{  \:Area_{(Rectangle)} \: = \: Length \times Breadth \: }} \\

So, on substituting the values, we get

\rm \: Area_{(hall)} \: = \: 16 \times 12 \\

\rm\implies \:Area_{(hall)} = 192 \: {m}^{2} \\

Now, Side of square tile = 25 cm = 0.25 cm

We know, Area of square is given by

\boxed{\rm{  \:Area_{(square)} \: = \: {(side)}^{2} \: \: }} \\

So, On substituting the value, we get

\rm \: Area_{(1 \: tile)} \:  =  \:  {(0.25)}^{2}

\rm\implies \:\rm \: Area_{(1 \: tile)} \: = \: 0.0625 \: {m}^{2} \\

Now, we have to find the number of tiles to be paved on the floor of rectangular hall.

So,

\rm \: Number \: of \: tiles \: = \dfrac{Area_{(hall)}}{Area_{(1 \: tile)}} \\

\rm \: = \: \dfrac{192}{0.0625} \\

\rm \: = \: \dfrac{192 \times 10000}{625} \\

\rm \: = \: 192 \times 16 \\

\rm \: = \: 3072 \\

Hence,

\rm\implies \:\boxed{\rm{  \:\rm \: Number \: of \: tiles \: = 3072 \: \: }} \\

Given that :-

A hall measures 16m length & 12m breadth.

To find :-

How many square tile will be required to pave its floor ?

Solution :-

Area of the hall = (L×B)

»» 16m × 12m

»» 192m

Area of each square tile = (side × side)

»» 1m = 100 cm

»» 25 cm = 0.25m

»» 0.25 × 0.25

»» 0.0625m

So, to find the number of square tile to pave its floor we have divide the area of hall with the area of each square tile.

»» Area of hall/Area of square tile

»» 192m/0.625m

»» 192/0.0625

»» 192×10000/625

»» 1920000/625

»» 3072

Therefore, 3072 square tile will be required to pave its floor.
