10. A non-reacting gaseous mixture contains SO2 and
SO3,in the mass ratio of 1:5. Find the ratio of the
number of molecules
(1) 1 : 1
(2) 4:5
(3) 1:4

given ratio of mass is 1:5

so,

Let 1g of SO2 reacts with 5g of SO3

Number of molecules of SO2 = [(given wt/atomic wt ) x Avagedro NO

=> 1/64 *Avagedro Number

Molecules of SO3 = 5/80 * Avagedro number

Now,

Ratios of Molecules =( 1/64*Na) ÷(5/80*Na)

=> 1/4

hence, ratio of Molecules is 1:4

Happy to help! !
