Answer:

(10) A polynomial of degree 'one' is called a linear polynomial.

(11) For grouped data Median is in Image.

Whereas

1 = Lower limit of median class

N = Total frequency

fo = Frequancy of class preceding the median class

f₁ = Frequency of median class h = Width of median class

Relation between zeros and coefficient of quadratic equation.

Example:

x² -4 = 0

Here a = 1, b = 0, c = -4

x² = 4

⇒ X = ±2

Therefore, the roots of the given equation

are ±2.

As we know that,

Sum of roots = -b/a

-2 +2 =0/1

0=0

L.H.S=R.H.S.

Product of roots = c/a

-2 × 2 = -4/1

-4 = -4

L.H.S.=R.H.S.
