10. A shopkeeper purchased 300 bulbs for Rs.12 each.
However, 5 bulbs were fused and had to be thrown away. The remaining bulb
was sold in Rs.15 each. Find his gain and loss per cent.​

cost of 300 bulbs = 12* 300 = 3600

cost of one bulb is Rs.12

so the cost of 5 bulbs = 12*5 =Rs 60

the bulbs were sold at the rate of 15 rupees per bulb

so the cost of the good bulb = 295 * 15 = 4425 rupees

gain = 4425-3600=825

gain percent = 825/3600*100=22.916% gain
