10. A student was asked to write the equation for displacement in SH.M as y=A sin 2πvt/k
where A is amplitude, v is velocity at time t. For the equation to be dimensionally correct,
what should be the dimensions of K?what does y stands for?

Explanation:

y is Displacement

2πvt/k=ωt= phase Angle

ω is angular frequency in radians per sec

2πv/k=ω

in unit

[m/sec]/[k]=[rad/sec]

[k]=[m/rad]
