LET THE LENGTH OF BRIDGE BE x m.

Distance to be covered by train = ( length of train + length of bridge ) = (150+x) m.

Train's speed = 72 km/hr

Train's speed = (72 × 5/18) m/s = 20 m/s

now, total time taken = distance / speed = (150+x) / 20 seconds

but time is given as 13 seconds.

so, (150+x)/20 = 13

150+x = 13×20 [ Multiplication of 20 on both sides ]

150+x = 260

x = 260-150 [ Subtraction of 150 on both sides ]

x = 110 m.

Therefore , the length of bridge covered by the train = 110 metres.
