let aman' s son age = x

aman's age = 3x

ten years ago, he was 5 times the age of his son.

therefore, 3x - 10 = 5 (x-10)

3x-10 =5x - 50

2x = 40

x = 20

aman' s son is 20 yrs old

aman is 3x = 3 × 20 = 60 yrs old.

Let Aman’s son’s present age be x years
Then, Aman’s present age = 3x
10 years ago, Aman’s age= 3x-10
10 years ago, Aman’s son’s age=x-10

Aman’s age = 5* Aman’s son’s age

3x-10= 5(x-10)
3x-10= 5x- 50
-10+50= 5x-3x (By transposition)
40= 2x
x=40/2
x= 20

Therefore
Present age of Aman’s son= 20 years
Present age of Aman = 60 years
