Mars Orbiter Mission), is India's first Mars mission. This is India's first interplanetary mission. It is in fact an ambitious space project of the Indian Space Research Organization. Under this project, a satellite launched to orbit Mars at 5.38 PM on 5 November 2013 was successfully launched by the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) C-25 from the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh.
