Answer: 1000 W  52.87 Ω    300000 J

Step-by-step explanation:

soln,

a) Power of heater = 1000J/s = 1000 W  as heater produces 1000J energy in one second.

b) Power (P) = I *V

or, 1000 = I * 230

i.e. I = 4.35 A

so, Resistance (R) = V/I = 230 / 4.35 = 52.87 Ω

c) heat produced (H)= P * t  where t is time taken = 5* 60 s

= 1000 * 5 * 60

=300000 J
