10. An elevator descends into a mine shaft at the rate of 5 m/min. If the descent starts from 50 m above the ground level, how long will it take to reach 150 m. please help us​

solution:

  • speed of elevator = 5m/min
  • distance from starting to end = 50 -(-150) *because 150 m is below ground level so it is considered as '-' sign*
  • speed=distance÷time. So, distance ÷ speed = time
  • = 200÷5=40

ANSWER:-

IT WILL TAKE 40 MINS TO REACH -150m .
