a. The sparrows mourned the death of the grandmother by keeping quiet. Not a single sparrow chirruped that day. They didn't touch the bread crumbs that the author's mother threw at them.
They mourned because grandmother would feed them every afternoon and didn't ever scold them
b) Pressure was building as more and more water kept coming inside. They were totally afraid that would soon die and no one would be able to survive. But they got some optimism and courage when Jon started telling his father that they were not afraid to die if they were all together.
c) The young boy changed his name to Tutankhamun as he was a devotee of the sun god Amun. He also restored various old ways that Akhenaten had changed.
