Answer:

P = I^2 *R

I = V/2R

= V / (2V^2/100)

= 50/V

P = I^2 *R

= (50/V)^2 * R

= (50/V)^2 * (V^2/100)

= 25W

One important point in such kind of question is, in case of parallel cases use

P = V^2/R

And in case of series case, use

P = I^2 *R

Answer:

Correct option is B)

Power consumed by a resistance is given by,P=V

2

/R.

This imply R=V

2

/P.

R

eq

=220

2

/100+220

2

/200

Net power consumed will be P=V

2

/R

eq

P=200/3 w
