Answer:

\huge\colorbox{red}{Question}

By selling a table for 3360 a shopkeeper would gain 12%. If he sold it for * 2700 what would be his gain or loss per cent?

GIVEN

sp of table = 3360

he gain it for =12%

he sold for = 2700

SOLUTION

So, now we have to find C.P

So, Cp = \frac{S. p × 100}{90} = 3000

Now S.p to gain.33.33% profit

Cp = \frac{C. P × 1+profit %}{100}

3000 × 1.3333

=4000

In another way

2700 is 90% of the C.P

So c.p=2700/0.9 =3000

And 33.33 % is nothing but 1/3 rd of the C.P

S.p=c.p+profit

=4000

Given : Selling a table for 3360 a shopkeeper would gain 12%. If he sold it for 2700.

To Find : Find gain or loss % ?

_______________

Solution : Let the original price be x %.

~

\dag ~\underline{\frak{\pmb{According~to~the~given~question~:}}}

~

\qquad{\sf:\implies{x~+~(12\%~of~x)~=~₹3360}}

\qquad{\sf:\implies{x~×~\dfrac{112}{100}~=~₹3360}}

\qquad{\sf:\implies{x~=~\dfrac{\cancel{3360}^{30}~×~100}{\cancel{112}^1}}}

\qquad{\sf:\implies{x~=~30~×~100}}

\qquad:\implies{\underline{\boxed{\frak{\purple{\pmb{x~=~₹3000}}}}}}

~

We get,

  • If SP was 2700
  • CP = 3000

~

\dag ~\underline{\frak{\pmb{As ~we ~know ~that~:}}}

  • \boxed{\frak{\pmb{Loss~=~CP~-~SP}}}

~

\dag ~\underline{\frak{\pmb{According~ to ~the ~given ~question~:}}}

~

\qquad{\sf:\implies{Loss~=~SP~-~CP}}

\qquad{\sf:\implies{Loss~=~₹3000~-~₹2700}}

\qquad{\sf:\implies{\pmb{\underline{Loss~=~₹300}}}}

~

\dag ~\underline{\frak{\pmb{As ~we ~know ~that~:}}}

  • \boxed{\frak{\pmb{Loss\%~=~\dfrac{Loss~×~100}{CP}}}}

~

\dag ~\underline{\frak{\pmb{According~ to ~the ~given ~question~:}}}

~

\qquad{\sf:\implies{Loss\%~=~\dfrac{Loss~×~100}{CP}}}

\qquad{\sf:\implies{Loss\%~=~\dfrac{\cancel{300}^10~×~1\cancel{00}}{\cancel{30}\cancel{00}}}}

\qquad:\implies{\underline{\boxed{\frak{\pink{\pmb{Loss\%~=~10\%}}}}}}

~

Hence,

  • If he sold it for 2700, he will get loss of 10%.
