Answer:

let the no. be = X

-2/9 ÷ x = 1

-2/9 = 1 *x

x= -2/9

hence the rational no. should be -2/9 to get the remainder 1..

this can also be told without proof as we already know that any no. only when divided by itself leaves the remainder 1.
