10 c.c of cork sheet and 10 c.c of glass plate are combined together. The combination will NOT folat in water.

Explanation:

Volume of cork sheet = 10 cc

Volume of glass = 10 cc

relative density of cork = 0.2

Therefore density of cork = 0.2 gm/cc

Similarly density of glass = 2.5 gm/cc

Mass of cork = Volume × Density

            = 10 × 0.2

            = 2 gm

Similarly

Mass of glass = 10 × 2.5 = 25 gm

Combined mass of cork and glass = 25 + 2 = 27 gm

Combined volume of cork and glass = 10 + 10 = 20 cc

When placed in water the maximum volume of water displaced by the combination will be 20 cc

Density of water = 1 gm/cc

Therefore, the mass of water displaced = 20 × 1 = 20 gm

Since mass of water displaced is less than the combined mass of corkc and glass combination

Therefore, the combination will not float in water.

Hope this answer is helpful.
