\tt\Large{\red{Answer:-}}

x=-2, y = -5

\tt\Large{\red{Explanation:-}}

\tt\Large{\orange{Given:-}}

8x + 5y = 9......(1 )

3x + 2y = 4......(2)

From equation (2), we obtain:

y = 4-3x/2.....(3)

Substituting this value of y in equation (1), we obtain:

8x + 5 (4-3x/2) = 9

So x = -2

Using x = -2 in (3) we get y = (4-3×-2/2) =5

Therefore, x = -2 and y = 5

\tt\Large{\red{Cross multiplication method:-}}

8x + 5y - 9 = 0

3x + 2y - 4 = 0

Here,

a1 = 8, b1 = 5, c1 = 9

a2 = 3, b2 = 2, c2 = 4

x/-20x - (-18)= y/ -27 - (-32) = 1/ 16 - 15

x/-2 = y/5 = 1/1

x/-2 = 1, y/5 = 1

Therefore, x = -2, y = 5

Hope it helps u....✌️❣️
