Difference between monocots and dicots:
1) Seeds of Monocots have single cotyledon (embryonic leaf in seed bearing plants)
where, dicots have two cotyledon seeds
2) The roots of monocots are fibrous roots and the roots of dicots are taproot
3) Monocot have parallel veins and dicots have branched veins
4) Flowers of monocots have floral parts which are often multiples of 3 and the flowers of dicots have floral parts which are often multiples of 4 and 5
5) Stems of monocots are Vascular bundles scattered in stems and stems of dicots are Vascular bundle arranged in ring in stem
6) Dicot have cambium and monocot doesnt posses cambium
7) Pollen grains in dicots are fallow, pits and have several pores but the pollen grains of monocots are smooth with single pores
