- Highly qualified teachers will not be available.
- Poorly maintained or unhygenic washrooms/toilet facilities.(this causes many diseases to the children studying)
- No Transportation facilities.(some students have to walk from their house to school on the poorly maintained roads)
- Discrimination on the basis of gender, caste or any other can be shown.
- Quality education and resources to provide it will not be available.
- As villages are in remote areas, practical skills or life skills for the better understanding of the subject can't be provided so as to survive in the modern world.
- If the parents are farmers or workers who get less wages and also live far from the school, the student has to go home to get lunch or helps his/her parent to earn money, than study. But to overcome this, even though the mid-day meal scheme was made, it is not completely effective in many villages.Hence,it makes a serious issue for a low rate of literacy in India.
- Also to mention, that the government does not provide much to the local rural schools, which makes it even harder for the better educational development of the students.
- Not being able to get better educational opportunities, many students are only completing their compulsory 14 years of education and continuing to help their parents in work and dont get a chance to pursue their dreams.
- Orthodox villages, not all but some, don't allow girls to go to school, even in the present day. This is one of the main reasons for the less female literacy rate than male and also doesn't support the co-education system so adopted by India.
Despite it's flaws there are also many advantages of village schools. Hope this answer has helped in answering your question.
