Answer:

Through the use of the Lewis definition of acids and bases, chemists are now able to predict a wider variety of acid-base reactions. Lewis' theory used electrons instead of proton transfer and specifically stated that an acid is a species that accepts an electron pair while a base donates an electron pair.

Answer:

Acids-

when acids react with any element then it releases h+ions.

The release of h+ions also depends upon weak and strong acid.if acid releases large amount of h+ions then it is strong acid and if less then it is weak acid after reaction.

Bases-

when bases react with any element then it releases OH- ions

The release of OH- ions also depends upon weak and strong bases if base releases large amount of OH minus ions then it is strong base and if less than it is weak base after reaction.
