answer : option (b) 0.04

we have to find HCF of 6.16 and 13.

here two numbers one is in decimal and the other is in rational.

first we have to convert decimal into fractional (or rational).

6.16 = 616/100 = 308/50 = 154/25

now we have 154/25 and 13/1

  • concept : HCF of a/b and c/d

= HCF of {a , c}/LCM of {b , d}

now HCF of 154/25 and 13/1 = HCF of {154, 13}/LCM of {25, 1}

HCF of 154 and 13 = 1 [ because there is no common factor except 1 ]

LCM of 25 and 1 = 25

so, HCF of 154/25 and 13/1 = 1/25

= 1/25 × 4/4

= 4/(25 × 4)

= 4/100

= 0.04

hence option (b) is correct choice.
