4×eq1 => 40x+28y = 1,316

5×eq2 => 40x+25y = 1,280

By Subtracting we get

3y = 36

y = 12

so putting the value of y in equation 1 we get

10x + 7(12) = 329

10x = 329 -84

10x = 245

x = 24.5

So the cost of 1 set of fork is ₹24.5 and 1 set of knife is ₹12
