Answer:

ans 10.

Let, CP of 1 chair be x.

CP of 18 chairs is 18x=SP of 16 chairs.

CP of 16 chairs =16x

Since, SP>CP

Profit=SP−CP

=18x−16x=2x

Profit(%)=CPprofit×100

=16x2x×100

=8100=12.5%

Ans 11.

Given cost price is Rs.1200

loss is 25%

loss =1200×10025=300

so selling price =1200−300=900

∴ selling price is Rs.900

Answer 12.

Given, S.P=144

Lose =10 % of CP= 10010CP

∴SP=90%ofCP=10090CP

10090CP=144⇒CP=160Rs.

For gaining 10 %

Profit=10010×160=16Rs.

∴S.P=160+16=176Rs.
