Given : p and q are any two integers,

To find :  which of the following may not give an integer?

p - q

p + q

p * q

p ÷ q

Solution:

Integers follows closure property for  Addition , subtraction and multiplication

Hence p + q  , p - q and P * q  will be integers

but division does not follow closure property in integers

Hence  p ÷ q  may not be integer

for Example    3 ÷ 2 is not an integer

4 ÷ 2 = 2 is an integer

Hence Can be an integer or may not by an integer

Hence p ÷ q may not give an integer
