10. If x = 4, y = 3 and 2 = -2, find the value of :
(i) x2 + y2 + z2 + 2xyz
(ii) x3 + y3 + z3 - 3xyz

Answer:

x = 4

y = 3

z = -2

(i) x² + y² + z² + 2xyz

=> (4)²+(3)²+(-2)²+2×4×3×(-2)

=> 16+9+4+(-48)

=> 29–48

=> -19

(ii) x³ + y³ + z³ - 3xyz

=> (4)³+(3)³+(-2)³– 3×4×3×(-2)

=> 64+27+(-8)–(-72)

=> 91–8+72

=> 163–8

=> 155
