Given -

x - 2 Is the factor of

x^{2} - 3 + 5a

To find -

Value of a

Solution -

First we will find the zero of x-2 that is -

x - 2 = 0

x = 0 + 2

x = 2

Not putting 2 in place of x we will get -

p(x) = {x}^{2} - 3x = 5a

p(2) = {(2)}^{2} - 3(2) = 5a

4 - 6 = 5a

 -2 = 5a ( it's -2 because the negetive value is greater than positive one.)

a = \frac{5}{2} (by transposing -2 to other side we will get + 2 and 5 as it is)

Answer:

x

2

−3+5a

To find -

Value of a

Solution -

First we will find the zero of x-2 that is -

x - 2 = 0x−2=0

x = 0 + 2x=0+2

x = 2x=2

Not putting 2 in place of x we will get -

p(x) = {x}^{2} - 3x = 5ap(x)=x

2

−3x=5a

p(2) = {(2)}^{2} - 3(2) = 5ap(2)=(2)

2

−3(2)=5a

4 - 6 = 5a4−6=5a

-2 = 5a−2=5a ( it's -2 because the negetive value is greater than positive one.)

a = \frac{5}{2}a=

5

(by transposing -2 to other side we will get + 2 and 5 as it is)
