Answer:

1st term = a

2nd term=a+d

3rd term =a+2d

4th term=a+3d

5th term =a+4d........

So 10th term =a+9d and17th term =a+16d

According to the question,

a+16d=7+(a+9d)

a+16d=7+a+9d

a-a+16d=7+9d

16d-9d=7

7d=7

d=1

So the common difference is 1

Answer: 1

Step-by-step explanation:

nth term of an AP = a+(n-1)d

Therefore, 17th term = a+(17-1)d

= a+16d

And, 10th term = a+ (10-1)d

= a+9d

According to the question,

(a+9d)+7=a+16d

a+9d+7=a+16d

a-a+7=16d-9d

7=7d

d=7/7

d=1
