1/5 of right angle

= 1/5*90

= 18°

Thus, x is greater than 18° but lesser than 90°

Hence,

(d) y < 162°

As 180° - 18° = 162°

y° cannot be equal to or more than 162°

(x is more than 18°)

Hope it helps

Answer:

given that <x is greater than one-fifth of 90°

<x=1/5X90°

<x=18°

<x+<y= 180° (linear pair)

<y=180°-18°

<y=162°

in question given that <x is greater than 90 so, < y is smaller than 162 so, option (d) is correct
