Concept

Irrational numbers are the real numbers that can not be expressed in the form of p/q.Irrational numbers are usually expressed in the form of R ₋ Q which means the difference between the set of Real numbers(R) and the set of Rational Numbers(Q). There are an infinite number of irrational numbers which can not be written in a simple way.

Given

√10 is an irrational number

Find

√10 is a irrational number lies between which two rational numbers.

Solution

√9 = 3

√16 = 4

So,

√9 < √10 < √16

3 < √10 < 4

So √10 lies between 3 and 4
