Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam is also known as A.P.J Abdul Kalam.
He was an aerospace scientist.He also served as the 11th president of India from 2002-2007. He was born on 15 October 1931 and raised in Rameshwaram, Tamil nadu, who studied physics and aerospace engineering. He was awarded Padma Bhushan in 1981 , Padma Vibhushan in 1990 , Bharath Rathna in 1997 , Hoover medal in 2009 , NSS Von Braun award in 2013 and even more. Some of his notable works are wings of fire, India 2020 , ignited minds, indomitable spirit and many more. He is known as the missile man of India for his work on the development of ballistic missile and launch mission technology. He took his last breath on 27 July 2015 at Shillong.
