2.A diet that contains adequate amount of all the essential nutrients to meet the needs of a body is called a balanced diet.
3. We eat different kinds of food during the day no single food items can provide all the essential  nutrients to make the diet complete or balance.
4. To make a balanced diet we should include food from all the food groups in our daily meals.
5. A balanced diet must contain food from each of the following food groups : •milk group • cereal group • protein group • fruit & vegetable group.
6. The requirement of a varies from individual to individual depending upon their body weight and nature of physical activity.
7. Taking a balanced diet that is, all essential nutrients in adequate amount is called good nutrition.
8. A balanced diet is important because our organs and tissues needs proper nutrition to work efficiently.
9. Without good nutrition our body is more prone to diseases, fatigue infection and poor performance.
10. If we do not take a balanced diet deficiency of any one nutrient may lead to abnormal developments in the body.
11.Taking a diet which lacks in one or more essential nutrients or overeating is called malnutrition.
12. Malnutrition is a condition that results due to lack of nutrients (undernutrition) or excess intake of nutrient (overnutrition).
