Active mass of the solution is nothing but molarity
Active mass = Molarity = No of moles of solute/Volume of ssolution in L

No of moles of solute    = Given mass in g/ Molecular mass = 240/60 = 4

Active mass = Molarity = 410 = 0.4 M
