10 Masons can build a wall working 7 hours a day, in 12 days. In how many days can the work be completed by 14 persons working 8 hours a day?

Total work done by 10 persons in 7 hour / day in 12 days = 12×7×10=840
Total work done by 10 persons = Total work done by 14 persons.
:. Total work done by 14 persons= 840
.'.Let the days required to complete the wall by 14 persons working 8 hours / day be X.
.'. Total work done by 14 persons working 8 hours/day=14×8×X= 112X
840=112X
X=840÷112= 7.5 days
.'. 7.5 days required to complete wall by 14 persons working 8 hours/day.
