Bonjour!!
When water is added to ethanoic acid(acetic acid) a Homogeneous solution will be obtained and that solution will be colourless and transparent this shows that ethanoic acid or acetic acid in soluble in water. The acid dissolves and partially dissociates to form CH3COO− and ions. No chemical reactions occur.
Vinegar has smell of vinegar and water have no smell.
Both of them are colourless liquids.
