10 mL of water and 5mL of sulphuric acid are to be mixed in a beaker. (a) State the method that should be followed. (b) Why should this method be followed? ( c) What is this process called?

a) Sulphuric acid should be slowly added to water in a beaker with constant steering.
b) This method should be used because the mixing of acids like Sulphuric acid in water is highly exothermic i.e. it leads to formation of large amount of heat.If you try to add water in acid the mixture will splash out might cause burns.That is why the above method is used.
c)This process is called dilution
