We have to find 10% of 24.2 will be how much more than 10%of 24.02.

For this, we first calculate 10% of 24.2 then 10%of 24.02 and then subtract 10% of 24.02 from 10% of 24.2.

We are solving in the following way:

We have,

10% of 24.2 and 10%of 24.02

Now,

10% of 24.2

=>24.2\times\frac{10}{100} \\\\=>2.42

And

10%of 24.02

=>24.02\times\frac{10}{100}\\\\=>2.402

Then,

( 10% of 24.2)-( 10% of 24.02)

=>2.42-2.402\\=>0.018

we get 0.018.

Hence, 10% of 24.2will be 0.018unit more than 10%of 24.02

  • As per the data given in the question, we have to determine the required number.

            Given data:- 10\% \ of \ 24.2 will how much more than 10\% \ of \ 24.02.

            To find:- Value of the given expression.

            Solution:-

  • A percentage is a fraction of an amount expressed as a particular number of hundredths of that amount.
  • It is denoted by \%. 1\%. means \frac{1}{100} .
  • We are using the unitary method to calculate the percentage of numbers.
  • Fractions can be converted into percentages and vice-versa.
  • Percentages are reversible. For example, 30\% \ of \ 40 is the same as40\% of 30.

          now,

        \begin{array}{l}10 \% \text { of } 24.2 \\=>24.2 \times \frac{10}{100} \\=>2.42\end{array}

        similarly,

       \begin{array}{l}10 \% \text { of } 24.02 \\=>24.02 \times \frac{10}{100} \\=>2.402\end{array}

   so that we will get,

       \begin{array}{l}(10 \% \text { of } 24.2)-(10 \% \text { of } 24.02) \\=>2.42-2.402 \\=>0.018\end{array}

Hence we will get 10\% \ of \ 24.2  0.018  more than 10\% \ of \ 24.02.
