Let the number of cows be n

10% of cows died in 2011

=10% of n =n/10

cows left=n-n/10

=9n/10

25/2% of remaining died in 2012

=25/200 x 9n/10

=9n/80

Cows left =9n/10-9n/80

=72n-9n/80

=63n/80

It is given that 63 cows were left,

then, 63n/80=63

n=80

hence, number of cows villagers have originally=80
