● Solution :-

Let the no. be x

If one number is exceeding the other, it means it is greater than that by the given value in ques.

ATQ,

x/5 - x/6 = 1

LCM ( 5,6 ) = 30

6x/30 - 5x/30 = 1

x/30 = 1

x = 30

Hence, the number is 30.
