Title : Small Habits Pay
Ananta lives in an interior village. He is a graduate with major in political science. He is an unemployed young man with sound moral character. For the last three to four years he has been trying to get a job either in government or in some private organisation.
Last month he applied for the post of a clerk in a reputed company in Guwahati. Getting no response from the company Ananta personally came to Guwahati, found out the company's office and met the personal manager, who was the appointing authority. He told the personal manager that he had applied for a post of clerk in the organisation. The manager told him that there was no vacancy. Ananta requested him to help him. But the manager repeated that there was no vacancy.
A disheartened Ananta was just going out of the Manager's chamber. Just then he saw a pin lying near the door. He bent down and picked it up. He cleaned it with a blow of his month and kept it in his hand bag. The Manager who was watching the incident was charmed by Ananta's careful nature.
He called him back, offered him a cup of tea. By the way he asked Ananta about his address and qualifications etc. Ananta politely replied the quarries of the Manager. To his surprise the Manager offered to to appoint him as a clark in the office. However he asked Ananta to remain the same careful man in his office works.
