The forests are important because of following reasons →

1. They are known as lungs of Earth because big forests purify the air and work like lungs of the Earth.

2. Forests help in Increasing rains by process of Transpiration.

3.Forests also prevent soil erosion as their roots bind the soil and doesn't let it erode.

4. Forests provide many raw materials like wood , rubber etc. required for manufacturing.

5. Forests are home to many Flora and fauna and contains various eco-systems within it.

6.Forests keep a check on Increasing temperature and cool down the temperature.

7. Many Tribal communities still live in the world who are totally dependant on forests for their survival.

8. Forests contains many medicinal plants which are used to manufacture medicines.

9. Forests also provide safe water for drinking , bathing and other household stuffs.
