10 POINTS QUICK TIMED TEsT
The relative frequency table shows the results of a survey in which parents were asked how much time their children spend playing outside and how much time they spend using electronics.

Given that a child spends at least 1 hour per day outside, what is the probability, rounded to the nearest hundredth if necessary, that the child spends less than 1 hour per day on electronics?

Answer:

0.88

Step-by-step explanation:

We would consider the first case second column....

So 14/16 will be the probability that comes out be approximately 0.88.

Pls tell what the right answer is ...

Nice question btw

The required probability is 0.88.

Total number of children spending at least an hour a day outside = 16  (Given)

Total number of children spending less than an hour a day on electronics = 14 (Given)

Time that a child will spend outside = 1 hour  (Given)

Let the number of children spend at least 1 hour/day outside = x

Therefore,

P (x) = Children spending day outside/children spending time on electronics

P (x) = 14/16.

= 87.5%

Rounding off the percentage it will be 88%

Thus, the nearest 100th will be 0.88.
