Answer:

C.P. of bicycle = ₹ 1200

Repiars= ₹ 300

Total C.P. =₹ ( 300+ 1200) =₹1500

S.P. = ₹ 1860

Gain = ₹( 1860- 1500) = ₹ 360

Gain% = 360/1500 ×100 = 24%

Her gain percent is 24%

Given : Radha purchased a second – hand bicycle for Rs.1200 and spent Rs. 300 on its repairs.

To find : The gain or loss percent.

Solution :

We can simply solve this mathematical problem by using the following mathematical process. (our goal is to calculate the gain or lost)

Now,

She purchased the cycle at = Rs. 1200

Repair cost = Rs. 300

So, total cost price = Purchasing price + Repairing cost = (1200+300) = Rs. 1500

Now, the selling price = Rs. 1860

As, the selling price is greater than the total cost price, so the deal will produce a gain for her.

Gain amount = Total cost price - Selling price = 1860-1500 = Rs. 360

So, the gain percent :

= 100 × (Gain amount / Total cost price)

= 100 × (360/1500)

= 24%

(This will be considered as the final result.)

Hence, the gain percent is 24%
