first let us find how many liters will 5-eng of type-1 consume when working for 5 hours

for 6-eng(type-1) -> 900 liters
then for 5-eng(type-1) -> x liters?
therefore x = (900*5)/6 = 750 liters

NOW .. it is clearly given that 8-eng(type2) consume same diesel as 5-eng(type1)
for 5 hours ...

therefore for 8-eng(type2) -> 750 liters
then for 9-eng(type-2)-> x liters ?
=> x = (750*9)/8 = 843.75 liters for 5 hours

when 9-eng of type-2 consume 843.75 liters for 5 hours then for 9 hours how much do they consume ?

for 5 hours -> 843.75 liters
for 9 hours -> x hours ?

therefore x = (843.75*9)/5 = 1518.75 liters (ANSWER)
