2x = 5/7 + 3
2x = 5 + 21 /7
2x = 26 /7
2x × 7 = 26 × 1
14x = 26
x = 26 /14
x = 18 /7
ii) 0.5x + 2 = 0 .3x + 4
O. 5x - 0.3 = 4 - 2
0 .2x = 2
x = 0.2 /2
x = 0.1
